Where is Twycross Zoo located?

What days does the zoo stay shut?
We ONLY close Christmas Day

What time do you open?
We open at 10am throught out the year

What time do you close?
We close at 5.30pm during the summer season and close at 4pm during the winter season

What animals can I see in the zoo?

How many animals do you have at the zoo?
We have approximately 1000 animals at the zoo.

Where can I buy the Twycross Zoo Guidebook?
The Guidebook can be bought from the gift shop and the information centre.

Where are the toilets?
There are several toilets in the zoo, and signs as to where they are. If you cannot find one, please ask one of our keepers who should be happy to help.

Where is the café?
There are several cafes in the park, If you cannot find one, please ask one of our keepers who should be happy to help.

Where’s the gift shop?
The gift shop is located near the main entrance of the park.

What time is the elephant training?
Elephant training is generally at 2.10pm (but maybe cancelled due to unforseen circumstances).

What time is the Sea-lion feeding?
Sea-lion feeding is generally at 12pm (but maybe cancelled due to unforseen cicumstances).

Do you do chimp tea parties?
No, not anymore.

Do you have Tigers?
No. They have gone to different zoos as part of a breeding program.

Do you have zebra’s?
No.

Do you have Rhinos?
No.
